I saw my first handmade quilt at the age of 15, I thought it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. I asked the woman who made it if she would show me how. She taught me an 8 pointed star pillow, just 1 square and I was hooked for life. Of course back then there was no easy way to do things, rotarty cutters, strip piecing and the such, so it all took forever to do but none the less I loved every stitch. now 31 years later I'm still going strong and now can make up a quilt much quicker thanks to the many genius quilters out there simplifying things for all of us.  I love going to quilt market and meeting so many wonderful people and  think quilters have to be the nicest people on the planet!! I have been designing and selling my patterns for 3 years now and am really enjoying it and can't wait until its my full time job.
