Portland Market Preview!
The week after Market is always hectic! We have to organize the dozens of hours of tape and create an editing plan and then assign the projects to the various editors - we now have five editors under the leadership of April Antoine. So I thought I would give you a rundown of what is coming up over the next three weeks.
A very special thank you to our show host and field reporter, Cindy Walter.
Two new shows with Brenda Henning - a stained glass pattern and a great new trick with paper piecing.
Lennie Honcoop, also known as The Dutch Quilter, introduces a great new technique - or at least new to me! Hot Ribbon Appliqué' which makes appliqué projects a breeze!
Two new shows from Billie Lauder and two more in pre-production!
A new show from Betty Blais from Embellishment Village, with great hints for scrapbooking and sewing too!
New in the Marketplace are Richard Porraro from Grandma's Secret Spot Remover (works great, tried some on a chair seat when I got home!), Joe Cullumber came by with some machine quilting temlates from Quilt-EZ.com, Stephanie Kleinman, the EasyMade publisher debuted her latest innovation, Fabric Studio. We also will feature Cheryl Ann's Design Wall, a portable marvel that can snap down and head off to class with you, and a new service for printing your photos onto fabric without the fear of washing out or fading from Mae Beth from Traveling Designs. You will also find information on Tutto wheeled totes that will save your back if you are carrying your machine to class - or anything heavy and bulky, Tutto totes are also a great way to get and stay orgainized! Company founder Susan Lee is a riot! Aunt Philly herself came by to show us how to make her rugs - a fabulous use of old fabrics! You will want to get her DVD and starter kit and then you will be hooked!
