June 1 - is it possible?
Welcome Summertime!
In Georgia, the kids are out of school for the summer. My grandson graduated from kindergarten on Friday and we celebrated today with a trip to the Tennessee Train Museum and the Tennessee Aquarium! Both are wonderful places to take children of all ages, learn new things, and be inspired by the visual feast! My first (finished) quilt was a seashore themed design and I love it still. So, here is the challenge!
Rules of the Contest:Eligibility: ● Anyone with an QuiltersTV membership can enter. If you do not have a QuiltersTV membership, it's free and easy to get started!● This contest is limited to residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia. How to enter:
● Submit a photo of your seashore themed quilt or project you've made, and a paragraph describing the details via email to sat@quilterstv.com ● The Seashore theme can use any fabric, thread or embellishments you choose, but please identify as many products used as possible by their brand names.
● The Seashore theme can be an item you have made already, or a new creation.
● By submitting a photo to the above email address, you are confirming that the content is non-confidential, yours to share, and that you are entering the "Sew Seashore Theme" contest and agreeing to the terms laid out here.
● Photos of all submissions may be used by QuiltersTV, ZeelTV entites, Comcast and/or CHA to promote the contest and QuiltersTV.com services, with proper credit to you as the creator with no compensation to you. ● If chosen as one of the winners, you agree to allow your quilt to be displayed at the CHA Supershow and tradeshow in Orlando, FL from July 26 – Aug 2nd by the deadline listed below, with no further compensation than the prizes outlined below.
● You also agree that said Seashore theme quilt may be used to photograph and use in advertising and promotional campaigns, with proper credit to you as the creator, with no further compensation to you beyond your prize.
● Entries will be judged (by the Quilters TV judging team.) on craftsmanship, use of color, and the creativity reflecting the seashore theme. By entering this contest, your creations may receive exposure in one or more (or none) of the following media:
● Quilters TV, SewonTV, Comcast Cable, Quilters World Magazine, and other national and international media, including;
Quilters TV Twitter, QuiltersTV website and emails and newsletters.Contest Period and Other Important Dates:
● Contest is open from 12:01p.m. EST Monday June 1, 2009 through June 30, 2009 — 11:59p.m. EST ● Photo submissions due by 11:59p.m. June 30, 2009.● Winners will be notified Tuesday, July 7th. Winning quilts must be mailed by July 18 to address provided, at winners expense. Prizes will be
Prizes:
At least (1) one grand prize will be awarded. GRAND PRIZE – Sewing Machine $800 retail value.Three (3) prize winners:
● 25 yards of fabric — approx. $250 retail value.
● Appearance at the CHA Supershow in Orlando on July 31st; featured on Quilters TV (airfare and hotel expenses paid for winners).
