Back From Festival! What a Grand Time! News Coming This Week!

Posted at 12:03PM on October 20, 2009

This time I attended both Market and Festival, and although it made for a long week, it was worth every minute!  We introduced our new Kodak box that allows our programming to be seen on your television set and met with many new artists who will be featured on QTV and SewOnTV very shortly!  We have a new series coming on with Jenny Haskins and I met with a group from England who have a new series as well - simply can't wait to bring them to you!

Many of quilting greats were at the show including Marti and Stacey Michell, Kaye Wood, Mark Lipnski, Alex Anderson and Ricky Timms, and many more.

Festival was very interesting and was mobbed!  The pinch of the economy doesn't seem to be hitting quilting!  Look for our news pieces featuring our on the floor reporter, Cindy Walter, later this week!

Have Fun Quilting!

Seasonal festivals are

Seasonal festivals are determined by the solar and the lunar calendars and by the cycle of the seasons. The changing of the season was celebrated JN0-342 exam because of its effect on food supply. Ancient Egyptians would celebrate the seasonal inundation caused by the Nile River, a form of irrigation, which provided fertile land for crops. In the Alps, in autumn the return of the cattle from the mountain pastures to the stables in the valley is celebrated as Almabtrieb. A recognized winter festival, the Chinese New Year, is set by the lunar calendar, and celebrated from the day of the second new moon after the winter solstice E20-322 exam. An important type of seasonal festivals are those related with the agricultural seasons. Dree Festival of the Apatanis living in Lower Subansiri District of Arunachal Pradesh is one such important festival 642-504 exam, which is celebrated every year from July 4 to 7 praying for bumper crop hurvest.
