We had a great time at CHA in Orlando. I got to know Nancy Parish and the great ladies from the Jacksonville QuiltFest [1] and Kenda Race from Fireside Quilts [2] in Sanford, Florida (I was born in Sanford, ME, always felt their must be a snowbird connection there!), who did a spectacular job of making our 80 foot booth look fabulous! We also featured the work of Elisa Wilson [3], Stacy Michell [4], Christopher Nejman [5], Tammie Bowser [6], Ellen Lumpkin Brown [7], Tammy O'Connell [8], and Pam Damour [9], and I thank them all for their participation. The auditions were great fun and have launched a contest that will close in early November as we search for new show hosts for all five of our related networks.
The work on getting the videos moved to the new system is happening, however more slowly than I had hoped. We are dealing with several upgrades all at the same time, some are our choice, some are just handed to us...but we are coping and getting better every day. The major reason we are going through the upgrade is because we are getting ready to launch our new IPTV program which will make all of our network available to be viewed on your TV set through our special box (this will be a subscription based service) and will feature special programming not available anywhere else. The new service will have extensive classes, live events, and exclusive patterns. We will be rolling out the new program by the end of this year! However, our regular service will remain as it has been and will remain free.
Our kids are back in school as of Monday! My friends in Connecticut saw an acorn fall from the tree today, are we approaching autumn already? Where has the summer gone? We have been so busy here I cannot tell you where the time goes!
Coming into the studio next week will be Pam Damour and Emma Seabrooke [10], and coming on air this week will be Tammy O'Connell making her wonderful bags of vintage influence - she made me a gorgeous tote, which you can see on her segment from CHA next week too!
Thank you so much for your support! I have had over 60 phone calls about our transition, which means people are passionate about our network, and we appreciate your enthusiasm! Be sure to click on the ads that you see on the left and right of the video screen - that is how our advertisers know you appreciate their support in keeping it free!
Happy Quilting!
